PexPlus combines superior flexibility with superb performance in demanding hydronic applications. It is the piping of choice for floor heating, and radiator supply lines.
The base material of PexPlus consists of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, which is cross--linked to ASTM 876 standards. PexPlus is corrosion free and has a EVOH barrier which limits the amount of oxygen allowed into a system to less than the DIN standard of 0.1 milligrams per liter per day. |

The EVOH barrier coating meets or exceeds DIN 4726 for oxygen diffusion. |

Long Term Durability .The high degree of cross-linking in PexPlus provides excellent resistance to high temperatures and pressures. DIN 16892 requires that PEX pipe retains its strength over a 2000 hour test period at elevated temperatures. PexPlus exceeds those requirements even after 10,000 hours of testing.
Bending PexPlus is flexible and easy to bend. Minimum bend radius is 6 times the pipe OD. If a permanent bend is desired, heat the pipe with a heat gun. Once heat is removed, the pipe will remain in the configuration. Repair If PexPlus is kinked while bending, it is easily repaired. Heat the kinked area with a heat gun for about 90 seconds. (approx. 265 'F). PexPlus will return to its original shape and integrity PexPlus is corrosion free and has a EVOH barrier which limits the amount of oxygen allowed into a system to less than the DIN standard of 0.1 milligrams per liter per day. The base material of PexPlus consists of ultra-high molecular weight hd-polyethylene which is cross-linked using a saline agent during manufacture Installation Tips Cutting to length is easily performed using a pipe cutter. Avoid long term exposure to direct sunlight. Use any SDR-9 fittings for joining. Be sure to account for thermal elongation in applications where piping is not set in concrete. PexPlus should be sleeved with larger plastic elbows where it enters and exits concrete slabs. DIN recommends that the maximum continuous use temperature of any PEX be limited to 158 F at the maximum operating pressure for optimum longevity. |
